Dr. Craik studies protease structure and mechanism, including those of HIV, SIV and KSHV, using genetic, biochemical and biophysical methods. The Craik lab applies this knowledge toward drug design and has pioneered new combinatorial technologies to probe protein-protein interaction interfaces and identify inhibitors, as well as developing an array of new expression methods. Dr. Craik co-directs the HARC Center Mass Spectrometry and Protein Expression Technology Core.
