Dr. Cheng uses electron microscopy to study the structure/function of macromolecular assemblies. His lab is focused on the EM studies of various protein complexes, including the proteasome, clathrin-coated vesicles and various HIV viral-host complexes, such as Integrase/DNA complexes. Dr. Cheng directs the HARC Center cryo-EM Technology Core.
